Pinpoint Cafe was founded in 2016 by two sisters with a shared vision: to create coffee shops that felt welcoming, inspiring, and deeply connected to the communities around them.
Long before opening our first cafe, we spent years working in the coffee industry and learning every part of the business from the ground up. While building the vision for Pinpoint Cafe, we traveled throughout San Diego and the Los Angeles area setting up coffee, smoothie, and snack stands at local jiu jitsu tournaments. Those early mornings, long weekends, and countless events became the starting point of our journey and helped shape the foundation of the brand we were building.
What started as a small family business has since grown into multiple locations across San Diego, including cafes throughout the UC San Diego community. Through every stage of growth, our goal has remained the same: creating spaces that feel warm, personal, and community driven.

At Pinpoint Cafe, we believe a coffee shop should be more than just a place to grab coffee. It should become part of someone’s daily routine. A place to study between classes, meet with friends, work remotely, grab breakfast before the beach, or slow down for a moment in the middle of a busy day.
We are passionate about quality coffee, handcrafted drinks, fresh food, and genuine hospitality. More importantly, we care about creating spaces that feel personal. Spaces where customers become regulars, where baristas remember your order, and where the atmosphere feels welcoming from the moment you walk in.
